Brian Fenerty

Brian Fenerty is the General Manager of AdMark China - part of the AdMark Asia group of companies. At AdMark China, Fenerty heads the China office in Shanghai and manages the China research team in the Manila office. As a manager and team builder in China, he is faced with many of the same challenges that his clients do in this talent market.

It was in 1994 that Mr Fenerty began his recruiting career in Tokyo, Japan. Since then, he has worked primarily in candidate driven markets and in recruiting across several industries. With experience in Japan, Chile, the United States, and China, Fenerty has been involved with both start-ups and established firms internationally. However, he is most comfortable when working in a candidate driven and highly competitive market place.

Fenerty has a deep interest in the processes of recruitment. This can be seen through his contributions to online information through two blogs, both addressing the subject of recruiting in China. One of these, hosted by ERE, discusses techniques in China-specific recruiting functions and can be found at http://www.ere.net/blogs/Recruiting/Techniques/ Fenerty is also the author of his own blog which can be found at www.recruitinginchina.com.cn.

In addition to this, Mr Fenerty is a co-chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce on Shanghai's Human Resources Committee. he is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh's School of Communications and earned a Certificate in East Asian Studies from Pitt's East Asian Studies Department.
