Linda Kovarik

Linda has had a vast professional background from documentary producer, UN programmes officer, sponsorship and events manager, and adventure traveler but finally found her nirvana in advertising. Proudly hailing from Rapid City, South Dakota, Linda has lived and worked in Asia Pacific for the last 16 years. She is currently Executive Planning Director at beacon communications in Tokyo.

In addition to overseeing strategy for all of beacons brands her job is to develop new processes to guide strategic thinking that lead to creative breakthroughs and to continually seek the most effective methods for uncovering human motivations and behaviors that can make there way to the advertising. Prior to coming to Tokyo she was the Regional Planning Director on P&G beauty care brands for Leo Burnett Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong. Since 1999 she has also served clients such as McDonald's, Heineken, Ikea and Wrigley's for Burnett. Last year she was awarded by Advertising Age as 1 of 25 Women to Watch in Media, Marketing and Advertising (this award honors women all over the world who demonstrate innovative leadership that promises to bring new trends to the marketing and advertising industries).
