Now Managing Director of RMG Connect Beijing, Ng Jit Hoong has had 14 years of experience in business development and executing new media communication strategies. Here, Jit shares with us the challenges of catering to the changeable and demanding field of advertising and marketing. As one of the top players in area, Jit lets us in on some of the key issues and strategies for keeping ahead of this game in China.

Jit started his career in technology, developing structural technology-driven plans beginning in 1992. His strong interest in technology naturally lead him into the field of new media communication. With the interactive industry coming into its own in 1995, Jit Hoong Ng helped the Bates Advertising Group launch 'Bates Interactive' which was later renamed XM Malaysia. It became a pre-eminent interactive agency in Malaysia. 

Jit's diversified experience has seen him in different roles within XM - ranging from Project Management, Business Development to operations and technology enhancement. Jit left his role as General Manager to join OgilvyOne Singapore in 2005 to further his digital and relationship marketing skills.

As a management professional attuned to the ever-changing trends and needs of a business, Jit is highly competent in technology and is well versed in translating market intelligence into profitable business solutions.

With 14 years of experience, Jit has a proven track record in business development and executing new media communication strategies for numerous blue-chip clients including American Express, Levi'sR, Sony, Maxis Telecommunications, Toyota, British American Tobacco and HSBC, among others. 

In his new role as Managing Director of RMG Connect Beijing, Jit is tasked with managing the challenges of establishing an agency operation while juggling the responsibilities of business development and client servicing roles.

Tom, born and bred in America's Detroit and educated in Chicago, somehow took a detour to Hong Kong in 1994 and never quite made it back to the States. In the meantime, he has become one of Asia's most respected advertising minds. His unique combination of pan-Asian work, plus nine years based in China, has made him a leading expert in the cross-border management of brand architecture and brand building. Furthermore, he is a passionate advocate of the iron link between brand equity and long-term profitability.
Having started his advertising career at Leo Burnett (Chicago) in 1989, Tom jumped ship and joined JWT Chicago in 1992. In 1994, Tom moved to Hong Kong as Regional Business Director, managing several of JWT's largest multinational clients across Asia Pacific (including Pepsi, Philip Morris/Kraft and Citibank).
