Trip.com livestreams its third Southeast Asia sales event

 

Trip.com Group hosted its first Malaysia livestream sales session on July 28th, continuing its 'Travel On” campaign, which has previously featured Thailand and Singapore.

James Liang, Chairman and Co-founder of Trip.com said that the livestreams have been presenting the best-value deals in an interactive and highly localized way, that allows customers to virtually experience destinations and travel related products before they’re purchased.

Liang said, "Rediscovering what we have locally becomes especially important at a time where we're not able to travel overseas." He added that he hopes to bring back the sense of excitement for travel, and instill customers with confidence to travel in the future.

The hour-long Malaysia livestream featured promotions from top hotels in Malaysia – with some hotels offering discounts of 60% from their normal prices.

Viewers who watched the livestream were able to purchase packages directly via the Trip.com app or website and participate in a series of giveaways and prizes that included hotel room vouchers.

Stephane Thong, General Manager of Trip.com n Malaysia said that although Malaysians can't venture overseas yet, they have a beautiful country to be explored with may local attractions and beautiful hotels.

Hotels that participated in the livestream event include top-tier five-star hotels including the Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa Langkawi, as well as Four Seasons, Hilton and Shangri-la brand hotels

Hotel or package vouchers that consumers purchased during the livestream event can be redeemed for stays anytime within their eligibility period and are fully refundable before redemption. The validity dates for each hotel vary, with the earliest expiration date being March 31, 2021.
