Bangkok-based e-sport startup Infofed has raised new investment in its pre-Series A funding round from Japan’s gaming community GameWith. Infofed operates online and offline e-sport platforms and provides E-sports services to local and international brands.

The Infofed online platform is named eArena.com and is allows professional gamers to held online game tournaments. The company also operates an offline platform, Thailand e-sport Arena, provides infrastructures needed to boost e-sport development in the country. According to its website, eArena.com has hosted more than 50 events during the last ten months.
Jirayod Theppipit, the Founder & CEO of Infofed discussed the partnership with Japan’s GameWith and said that the new funding will allow the company to establish a stronghold in Southeast Asia. He added that, “Following this round, we expect to roll out several eSports collaborations that will enhance our position as an industry leader, as well as create 10,000 industry-related jobs for the digital-savvy generation in this region by 2025.”
Theppipit said that Infofed will use the GameWith investment to expand its presence in Southeast Asia, and expects to have operations in Myanmar, Laos, and Cambodia by the end of 2020.
Prior to this funding, Infofed closed its seed funding round in 2018. The company has been investing over $1.6 million USD into the Infofed ecosystem including e-sport production and event organization, and into a division for e-sport streamers and influencer’s management.
The company says that it has a mission to “make e-sport happen anywhere, anytime”.
