Myanmar’s AYA Bank announced that it has launched the first corporate credit card targeted for business payments ever issued in the country. The AYA Universal Corporate MPU-JCB Co-Branded Card has been developed in cooperation with Japan’s JCB Card, a major global payments brand and a leading payment card issuer and acquirer in Japan.
The MPU-JCB card will have two different products: The Universal Corporate Platinum Credit Card and the Universal Corporate Gold Credit Card. Universal Corporate Platinum Credit Card members will receive the same personal credit card benefits as JCB members around the world and can use exclusive JCB airport, concierge desk and hotel Platinum services.
U Zaw Zaw, the Founder and Chairman of AYA Bank commented, "The Myanmar economy is growing fast and we have commercial cooperation with neighboring coun-tries which means companies need to send their employees on business trips and need to use other international services."
Kimihisa Imada, President and COO of JCB International said that the new corporate card could be used for the payment of business and travel related expenses. “Employees on business trips can enjoy JCB privileges which make traveling smoother and safer.” Imada said, "I am very pleased JCB will be the first international brand on a corporate product in Myanmar. I am confident that the issuance of AYA Universal Corporate MPU-JCB Co-Branded Card can satisfy our customers and will allow both AYA Bank and JCB to continue growing business.”
