Supply Chain Director in High Tech industry

With an engineering degree in Material Science from a prestigious Parisian "Grande Ecole", Roxane Desmicht started her professional career as product engineer for a subsidiary of Thales group in south of France prior taking over an electrical yield manager role in a semiconductor manufacturing plant close to Paris.

5 years ago Roxane had the opportunity to move to China and to supply chain at the same time as Supply Chain Director for a company operating in the High Tech Industry. Within this role her main responsibilities were related to the aspects of delivery and planning. Those years were extremely enriching through interaction and establishing cooperation with either local or MNC clients but as well through setting up and developing a strong local team.

In today’s Supply Chain TV interview, Roxane shares with us the main focus areas of Asia Infinson in China. She reveals her thoughts on the changes in supply chain business last year due to global economic slowdown. She believes that effectiveness of communication in global environment is vital, so what challenges does she face in her daily operation in the management position, and what are the most cost-effective methods she applies to overcome the difficulties?
