Shanghai is considered one of the latest thriving international metropolises of our time and it's no surprise that the restaurants in this city have evolved to cater to tastes from all around the world. Food, by far, is one of the most important aspects of life to Chinese people and this city is arguably the best destination in China to sample the array of high-end foreign and local Chinese cuisines. Shanghai is a modern city by today's standards but many people in this city still follow traditions that have been carried out for generations. Distilled Spirits Council of the US introduces American Spirits in Shanghai
In November, the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States (short: DISCUS) brought representatives of 13 US distilleries to Shanghai, 11 of which have not yet entered the Chinese market, to present some the finest craft distilled spirits made in the USA to the local audience. The products included mainly American Whiskeys but also Vodkas and Gins of the following Craft Distilleries: Troy & Sons Distilling; Osocalis, Inc.; High West Distillery; Catoctin Creek Distilling Company, LLC; Napa Valley Distillery; Louisville Distilling Company, LLC; Philadelphia Distilling; Chatham Imports, Inc.; Templeton Rye Spirits, LLC; House Spirits, LLC; Diageo; Beam Global; and Brown--‐Forman.
