
Tim Williams is one of the original pioneers in the Japanese Internet and advertising industry. As founder in 1996 of Transpacific Inc., Tim's vision and record of achievement are mirrored through the success and growth of his company, ValueCommerce Co., Ltd., Japan's leading internet performance marketing company.
Tim is originally from New Zealand, holds a Masters Degree in Molecular Genetics from the University of Canterbury (Christchurch, New Zealand) and has been a resident of Japan since the early 1990's.
Having also served as Vice President of ValueClick Japan which he co-founded in 1998 and helped take to a successful public listing. Tim came back to Transpacific Inc with a vision to develop a performance marketing platform as a new project which launched in November 1999, simultaneously changing the company name from Transpacific Inc to ValueCommerce Co., Ltd.
Having served as both president and CEO of ValueCommerce, Tim handed over the reigns to Brian Nelson in March 2001 and has been focused on M&A and other strategic business development opportunities for the company. From April 2004, Tim is the CEO of ValueCommerce's 100% subsidiary Looksmart Japan.
