
What is Change Management? Tim Coomber joins us today to talk about how he successfully changed his career path from accountant to Chief Executive of Change Management Japan. He has since then help businesses and individuals handle changes in their career as well as life in general. Tim has had an extensive career in Japan where he has lived for nearly thirty years. Born in London, a qualified accountant with degrees in business and systems analysis, his business experience is wide-ranging from senior positions in multinational corporations, including companies in the pharmaceutical, securities, banking, clothing and direct marketing businesses; to being an entrepreneur, starting his own business process outsourcing firm, IN CONTROL, in 2000. IN CONTROL was acquired by TMF Group in 2007.
Since then, Tim has established Platform One, helping new businesses get started, as well as Change Management Japan. He is also a Professor at the Kenichi Ohmae Graduate School of Business’s MBA in Globalization. In addition to his business activities, Tim has been active in the foreign community in Japan and has been Honorary Treasurer to the British Chamber of Commerce in Japan and a Board Member of Yokohama International School.
