She believes they have to love China and local people, manage diversity and have a listening heart in mind, and support from their family is critical. She reveals that the salary movement for expatriates has been much slower compare to local employees, due to the economy situation in their home countries, and she speaks about if this has affect the expatriates in China. Stella is the regional practice leader for broad based compensation for Hewitt in Asia. She was in several leadership positions within the firm prior to this role, including General Manager of Hong Kong, regional sales and accounts leader, compensation practice leader for Greater China, and a senior consultant on talent and organization change.

Stella has very strong business sense which has been well proven in her leadership roles within Hewitt. At the same time, her broader content knowledge about human resources management and experience from her corporate days has made her consulting solutions practical and down to earth.
