Dr. Serkan Toto’s focus has always been on technology, mobile and web industry. He joins our program today to share his thoughts and experiences in the field. Dr. Toto talks about where does Japan stands in terms of web industry and mobile technology, and compares Japanese mobile industry to other part of the Asia. Dr. Serkan Toto is working as an independent web industry consultant for hedge funds, venture capital companies and technology startups worldwide. He is the Asia-based writer for the TechCrunch network, mainly covering technology and Internet companies from Japan. In addition, he is the current technology columnist for the Journal Of The American Chamber Of Commerce In Japan.

Serkan holds an MBA and is a PhD in economics. He is a German of Turkish descent and is based in Tokyo.
