Scott Spirit
Strategy Director, WPP China

Scott Spirit moved to Shanghai in November 2006 to become WPP's China Strategy Director. He is responsible for helping develop and implement the overall strategy of all of WPP's businesses in China with a focus on Mergers & Acquisitions, Investments, Talent, encouraging cross-agency collaboration and investor and press relations. He also heads WPP Digital in Asia Pacific which entails managing acquisitions, investments and partnerships in digital marketing across the region.
 
Scott has a BA (Hons) degree in French with Management from King’s College, London. He moved to China from WPP in London where he spent three years working in the corporate strategy department. Prior to joining WPP Scott spent 2 years at Associated Newspapers working in a business development role on the Metro and Evening Standard Newspapers.
 
As a strategy director for WPP Scott Spirit faces a lot of challenges in the advertising world. Today, he shares with us his experiences of working with high profile figures, in this case, Sir Martin Sorrel, and shares with us what experience he has gained from this.
