In this part of the interview, Olivier Georlette shares with us his career path after moving to Japan over 10 years ago. As a long-term expatriate, he speaks about how he tries to build long term partnership with Japanese companies. He shares his take on how does he build credibility and trust when trying to create a relationship between doing business with Japanese companies and people.
A Belgian national, Olivier spent his early year in Belgium.. He moved to Israel when he was 13 with his parents.. He earned a Master degree in Science from Ben-Gurion University in 1992. In the same year Oliver joined Cimatron, a software company and got fascinated by Japan. In 1999 Olivier joined Verint Systems and in 2000 relocated to Japan to establish Verint branch office. In the early years of business in Japan he made active efforts to forge partnership with leading Japanese companies such as NTT, Sumisho, Avaya, Mitsubishi and Marubeni. With the business growth the focus gradually shifted to hire the best talents to support the growing number of business partners and customers. Olivier assumed the position of President of Verint Systems Japan on September 1, 2007.
Today Verint is a main player in the call center market in Japan. Major mobile and fixed line carriers, insurance, securities, makers and banks are using Verint Impact360 solution to record their transactions, to monitor quality in their call center and to optimize their workforce (WFO). Today Olivier focus on promoting the speech analytics to help increase customer satisfaction and deter important information that can contribute to business growth.
