
Based on positive psychology, Max Watanabe founded the Center for Positive Innovation aiming to get people fully engaged in their work, more confident and work positively. Max Watanabe shares with us how he got involved in positive psychology and the process how he brings out the strengths of his clients and coaches them to utilize their strengths as well as develop their weakness. Mr. Watanabe was born in Tokyo and stayed 3.5 years in the USA and 1.5years in the UK as a company training program members and as a resident. He studied Economics at Chuo University, studied Master of Business Administration at University of South Carolina Graduate School and gained Masters Degree at University of Air Graduate School. And he is also a member of International Positive Psychology Association and International Applied Psychology Association.
Mr. Watanabe used to work as a sales manager and marketing manager for Fuji Xerox Co. Ltd and also worked at the sales training group as a planner, developer and trainer of many kinds of sales training programs for sales organizations. Besides, he also worked at Fuji Xerox Learning Institute. There, he has developed and conducted many trainings such as career development, leadership and management. Moreover, he worked at a Swedish software company as a global account manager and a director of sales .He has established SuccessPoint Co. Ltd in January 2006 to provide training and consulting for Global and Japanese companies. And he also established Positive Innovation Center and became Chairman. He has experience with training in variety of industries, including Pharmaceutical, IT, Manufacturing, Chemical, Universities and Japanese Government.
He has involved in the Global training program at Applied Material, BearingPoint, Corning, Dunhill, Dyson, Ernst Young, ING Life Insurance, L’Oreal, Newell Rubbermaid, tesa tape, Wall Street, WR Grace, He has also developed and delivered training to Japanese companies. Some of major clients are NEC, Softbank, NTT Data, Hitachi, Ministry of Tax, Tokyo Metropolitan Office, Fuji Photo Film etc.
