Multinational companies can’t expand their China-side operations without a world-class mainland workforce, but many mainland professionals still find that they lack the skills to work effectively in a multinational environment. In this interview with Wang & Li Founder and CEO Larry Wang, iTV-Asia editor Nicholas MacDonald asks him just what international companies are looking for from their Chinese employees today, and about his professional development books for mainlanders looking to advance with multinationals- Know the Game, Play the Game, and his follow up How to DYFET: Develop Yourself as a Future Executive Today. If you want to know what foreign employers want, you can’t miss this video.
Larry Wang is the Founder and CEO of Wang & Li Asia Resources, a Greater China HR services company that provides recruitment and HR consulting services to leading companies operating in the region. Wang & Li was formed in direct response to the growing needs of expanding multinational and Chinese businesses for high caliber, bilingual/international-oriented professional and management talent. Prior to founding his company, Wang worked for 10 years in leading consumer product and information technology multinationals. His presence in Greater China over the past 11 years has included stints in Taipei, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and now Beijing, where he oversees Wang & Li's regional operations. Larry Wang received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and his M.B.A. from UCLA's Anderson School of Management.
