After he took the five-day drawing course, Peter quitted his previous job and stared his career as a business consultant successfully. Kristin Newton is an artist and creativity consultant who teaches workshops using art as a tool, focusing on untapping the brain's potential, increasing creative and perceptual skills, and discovering the joy of creation.
Originally invited to Japan on an artists' exchange program as a glass artist, she completed many architectural glass commissions in Japan, Hong Kong, and the U.S. before focusing on creativity workshops. Kristin apprenticed with two pioneers in education, Dr. Betty Edwards (Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain) and Dr. Georgi Lozanov (accelerated learning).
She is certified by both Dr. Lozanov and Dr. Edwards and utilizes their techniques in her workshops. She holds a degree in Fine Art and established a studio art school featuring Right Brain techniques in Tokyo in 1993. She has conducted seminars and workshops worldwide for a number of clients, including such companies as Ogilvy & Mather, SAP, AIG, UNITAR Hiroshima, and Fuji Electric. She works closely with companies to structure the seminars around their particular needs. Kristin has been sharing her vision of art and creativity throughout the world for over 20 years.
Peter graduated from Manchester University with a degree in The History of Art, where-after he worked in The Waterford Wedgwood Group in the UK, Japan & Germany. He was subsequently President of Christofle Asia, Burberry Korea and Burberry Japan, and has spent most of the last 27 years in Asia. Peter is now a freelance consultant based in Tokyo.
