Kristin Newton is the Creative Director at RBR, which she established in Tokyo in 1993. In June 2000, Kristin opened her first RBR Art School in Tokyo. She received frequent requests to extend the RB program, so in the Spring of 2003, in collaboration with associates, she began plans to expand the school, offering bilingual (Japanese/English) classes for all ages in a broader range of creative arts, focusing on untapping the brain's potential.
RBR emphasizes a holistic learning approach where the student is supported and encouraged to create in a joyful learning environment. RBR, The New Center for Creative Arts, opened its Moto Azabu site in April 2004. Starting out with an exciting new program of classes that continues to evolve, RBR aspires to be the Center for Creative Arts in the greater metropolitan Tokyo area for years to come.
The principal component of RBR's unique corporate program is the 5- day Visual Discovery Seminar specifically designed to increase creative and perceptual skills. Kristin has conducted these seminars exclusively for AIG, AIG MC, AIG Korea, Ogilvy & Mather, Shinsei Bank, Fujikasai, SAP, as well as Jardine Fleming in Hong Kong. A number of companies, such as Nissan, Ogilvy & Mather and SAP, have also sent their employees to participate at the 5-day seminars held monthly at RBR to develop their innovation skills.
