Jon Lynch heads Global Vision Media, which operates Juice TV and publishes two national Japanese-language music events magazines - Juice and Club Juice. Lynch's offices are located in the dynamic Shibuya district, a perfect environment for his new organization Tiger Music, which promotes events and operates a club in Roppongi.
Lynch started out as many foreigners do in Japan as an English teacher. He also founded a translation agency while simultaneously participating in a band. As the band quickly gained recognition it began to put on the large event called UK Sound, and in turn, the translation agency evolved into an event company. At the time there was no simple way to find information on "live houses", clubs and the music scene in general, and Lynch decided to create the music-event portal that Juice Magazine is today. Providing event information for more than 200 venues is no easy feat and Lynch has had first hand knowledge of the challenges in his field. He emphasizes that a sound network of people is crucial for any foreigner trying to gain insight into Japan's music scene.
In his leisure time, Lynch enjoys "guitar karaoke", reading pop science and going on camping trips with his daughter.
