Ann Sado shares her fascinating stories of being a successful female entrepreneur. She talks about her career journey from having no business related background to being a good leader. Third generation Japanese-American, Ann Sado received her B.A. at Occidental College in Los Angeles, CA (1970). As recipient of Ministry of Education scholarship, she has her M.A. from Waseda University Graduate School (1980). She also received her professional stage name/teaching certificate from the Iwai School of Japanese Classical Dance (1974).Consequently, she successfully promoted the brand business of multi-national cosmetics companies as marketing manager for Aramis Division, Estee Lauder Group and for L'Oreal Japan in brands, Lancome, Institut de Beaute, and Helena Rubinstein in product development/brand management. In 1987 she was invited to join as consultant of Roland Berger & Partners Ltd. management consulting under the Deutsche Bank, specializing in luxury consumer goods industry. She was then appointed Vice President of Apparel at Reebok Japan Inc.in 1992 and grew the sports/fitness apparel division. In 1995 A to Z Sado Enterprises Ltd. was established, consulting in marketing/PR/communications. Main business was Legacy Memoirs in oral history/publishing of personal memoirs from 1998, transferring the Ellen Epstein interview methodology into Japanese. Due to the merger of Legacy Memoirs in the USA, Japan business was closed in January, 2007. Currently she is a lecturer at EFAP Japon, French communications school. She also enjoys her role as Global Team Leader for AGEL/AGELESS, dynamic gel vitamins/cosmetics business.
