FEATURE INTERVIEW
Anita Lee
Co-Founder, Intisar Technology K.K

Anita Lee co-founded Intisar Technology KK in Tokyo, Japan in 2001, launching two separate product lines: communication services and trading systems. As Managing Director, Lee directs the communication services business and manages the offices for both product lines.

'Go Mobile' was the communication services' first product. The mobile phone rental service is designed for travelers to and from Japan, addressing the problem of Japan's exclusive telephone system. With competitive pricing, easy-to-use pre-programmed phones; internet and e-mail access together with access to a 24-hour personal concierge to assist with any problems or language difficulties, Go Mobile has quickly grown in popularity with locals and international visitors alike.

Building on the success of the concierge service, Lee launched 'Pickle', effectively a 'translator in your pocket' aimed at assisting language-related difficulties for residents and companies in Japan. This was followed by 'Go Japan', a mobile-friendly portal providing useful information in English on any mobile phone. This free mobile site keeps travelers and residents well informed and connected while in Japan.

Lee is a graduate of the University of British Columbia with a degree in Commerce. She is also a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. Prior to co-founding Intisar Technology, she held senior financial positions with a large multi-national based in New York, Hong Kong and Tokyo.
