Alsen Hsien
President, Take5People

Alsen Hsien is the President of Take5People Co., Ltd., a human resources and payroll software development and business analysis solutions provider using the most current technology and focusing on Greater China and the Asia Pacific region. Prior to Take5People, Mr. Hsien was the Managing Director of Platinum China, a business software unit of CDC Corporation, formally chinadotcom corporation (Nasdaq: CHINA).
Alsen was responsible for the overall management of Mainland China operations, including consulting services, technical support, product development and localization, and sales and marketing. As one of the founders of Platinum China, he built and led the company into one of the leading business management software developers and suppliers in China.
Mr. Hsien has spent over twenty years of his career in the business software applications industry. He has extensive experience in developing application software systems, defining and executing product development strategy, and providing consultation in regards to such systems. He was the instrumental force in developing and designing the PowerHRP suite of products, the most advanced human resources and payroll management (HRM) solution in the industry for the great China market.
In addition, he also took the lead in applying the Capability Maturity Model(CMM) to the company's whole process for managing software development. Under his leadership and efforts, the company succeeded in achieving CMM level 4.
Mr. Hsien earned his Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the California State University-Hayward, with a concentration in finance.
Prior to founding Platinum China, Mr. Hsien spent over two years as the President of Technology Funding (Shanghai) Limited, a value-added reseller of Platinum financial software in Shanghai.
Currently, Mr. Hsien is a board member of Process Improvement Asia (PIA), PIA provides customers with appropriate, tailored appraisal, training, and consulting services to help them realize their business goals.
