Bernd Kestler is an independent business trainer and coach in Japan. He has considerable executive counsel, management consultancy and group facilitation experience, particularly in working with international clients. Dr Satterwhite is the Executive Director of The Japan-United States Educational Commission otherwise known as the Fulbright Program. Prior to his current position, he was overseeing Economist Corporate Network-Japan - The Economist Group's exclusive membership programme for senior managers in Japan and the Asia-Pacific region. He came to Economist Conferences in 1997 from consultancy work facilitating Western clients' interests in Northeast Asian markets, and a decade-long academic career specialising in Asian politics and economic development issues. Raised in Kyoto followed by studies and professional employment in Tokyo, Dr Satterwhite has lived in Japan for 30 years.
Karl Hahne was born and raised in Germany and came to Japan in 1989. In '92 he founded his own company, ONEWORLD K.K. , which he merged in 2004 with the leading local online agency Ashley Associates. After a 4 year stint at Ashley, where Karl as board member and VP Marketing/Sales was responsible for selling internet and online marketing solutions to Fortune 500 and Japan listed companies, Karl assumed his current position as President and Representative Director for Hafele Japan.
Hafele, a company founded in Germany in 1923, is worldwide the number 1 trading company in the furniture and architectural fittings space, customers in Japan are the furniture, kitchen and construction industries. Karl is also the founder and chair of the B2B Sales Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ACCJ).
Kevin Tuttle is the Senior Vice President of the Bridge Group which is a licensed Tokyo-based recruiting company specializing in matching bi-lingual candidates with foreign subsidiaries. The Bridge Group handles searches for executives, managers, professionals, and specialists in all industries, but primary technology, consumer goods and banking.
Resident in Japan for over 10 years, Kevin has been recruiting in Tokyo since 2002, preceded by a stint working for William Mercer HR Consulting in the area of compensation research. Previously, he was a client-side HR Manager in Japan focusing mainly on recruiting and training as well as employee communications.
Kevin is a graduate of the University of Toronto, a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and obtained his credentials as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) in 2000.
After receiving a law degree from the University of Natal in 1989, Mark practiced commercial law in his native South Africa. In 1993, he relocated to Japan. After a short stint in a Japanese law firm, he founded Ferris & Associates to support companies setting up in Japan. The practice grew and served a number of companies in the fields of marketing, technology, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals and retail.
In 2000, Mark co-founded Building2 LLC, a private equity firm investing in technology companies in Japan and the United States. In this role, Mark was able to continue growing Ferris & Associates (which was renamed Strata Works KK), and later co-founded companies such as Japan Market Intelligence KK, One to One Japan KK, and ExCapital LLC. He now serves as representative director of Ascendant Business Solutions KK.
Mark is the chair of the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan's Business Expansion Committee, a board member of the Tokyo American Club, and a director of a nonprofit organization called the Tyler Foundation.
A New York native, Paul has conducted business in Japan and Asia since 1987, and has lived in Japan since 1991. As a management consultant, Paul helps companies develop their international business. He also heads Asia Media Sales, a company that helps online media monetize their international user traffic.
Previously, as General Manager, Asia-Pacific for Claria Corporation, Paul pioneered online behavioral marketing in the region. Thomas R. Zengage earned his undergraduate degree from Columbia College at Columbia University in New York City. After attending an M.A. program in Japanese studies at the University of Washington in Seattle, he received his M.B.A. from the same institution. Fluent in Japanese, Mr. Zengage has had an extensive career in public relations, investor relations, and strategy consulting in Japan, working on behalf of leading corporations and other organizations. Thomas R. Zengage was previously CEO and a principal shareholder of IBI Inc., Japan's pioneering investor relations and public relations agency. Mr. Graylin has rich entrepreneurial experiences prior to mInfo, having also been the founder and CEO of two other venture-backed technology start-ups in the US. Mr. Graylin began his career in the early 90’s at IBM and Intel designing what became the PowerPC and Itanium microprocessors. Prior to joining Haworth in 2006, Bo Christensen had 15 years in the design industry. During this time, he worked on Australia's first 6 Star Greenstar project, 40 Albert Road in Melbourne.

During his long and successful career with a multi-national automotive supplier, he served a number of years as CFO of Greater China and Korea. Considered a pioneer in China's Internet Word Of Mouth (IWOM) development, Sam Flemming has worked among the top Chinese Internet players in the field since 1996. Tom, born and bred in America's Detroit and educated in Chicago, somehow took a detour to Hong Kong in 1994 and never quite made it back to the States. In the meantime, he has become one of Asia's most respected advertising minds. His unique combination of pan-Asian work, plus nine years based in China, has made him a leading expert in the cross-border management of brand architecture and brand building.
