David Swan
Managing Director
David Swan was appointed Managing Director of Robert Walters Japan in November 2009. With this appointment he assumed responsibility for the leading foreign global recruitment firm in Japan - Robert Walter's largest international office and second largest business globally.
Until becoming Managing Director, David led Robert Walters Japan's award-winning Financial Services Division for around six years. Under his stewardship, Robert Walters was the No. 1 ranked contingent financial services recruitment firm for Japan in the 2008 and 2009 Asia Money Headhunters Poll and the division became known by clients and candidates alike as the leading mid-career financial services recruitment business in Tokyo.
Born in Sydney, Australia, David has lived in the Tokyo area for 13 years. A keen amateur musician, David plays bass guitar in venues throughout Tokyo in bands formed with friends that share his love of music.

James Kikuchi manages Robert Walters Japan’s IT Division specializing in the recruitment of IT professionals within both finance and non financial companies in Japan.
Typical roles that his team of consultants recruit for include, CIO, CTO, IT Directors, application development/support, all infrastructure related roles, ERP consultants, project managers, business analysts, pre/post sales, solution architects etc.
Simon Bromwell

Commerce & Industry
Simon Bromwell heads the highly successful Commerce Division at Robert Walters Japan. Initially, the Division specialised in accountancy recruitment within the commercial and industrial sectors, however Simon helped expand the scope of the Division to include Sales & Marketing, HR, Legal & Support, and Supply Chain recruitment.
As Commerce Division Director, Simon is responsible for seven teams comprised of sourcing professionals who bring the right clients and candidates together using their extensive recruitment experience and comprehensive knowledge of the commercial sector.
Prior to joining Robert Walters Japan, Simon worked for a Hong Kong-based boutique executive search firm that focused exclusively on senior management recruitment. He has also worked as a Coordinator of International Relations for a local government body in Southern Japan.
Simon Bromwell hails from near Liverpool in the UK. He holds a Master of Arts in Japanese Studies from the University of Edinburgh.
Simon has lived and worked in Japan for more than 11 years and is fluent in Japanese. He is a keen sportsman and plays regularly for a local recreational football team.
John McCrohon

After running Robert Walters' highly successful Real Estate and Insurance business in Tokyo for 5.5 years, John moved down to Kansai in late 2007 to open the new Osaka Office. Having spent two years establishing the Group's business in Kansai, John returned to Tokyo in early 2010 to head the Financial Services Division.
Prior to joining Robert Walters, John worked at Manulife, a major Life Insurance Company in Tokyo. He also spent a couple of years in the International Sales and Marketing Division at Noritsu Koki, a major Japanese Manufacturer located in Wakayama.
John is from Australia and has a degree in Japanese and International Business from Griffith University. With over 13 years experience in Japan, John is fluent in Japanese. He enjoys staying active and often spends his free time participating in local triathlons.

Naeem Iqbal was appointed Director of Contract recruitment in 2009.
The Contract Division at Robert Walters Japan specialises in placing experienced professionals into the Finance, Commerce and Technology sectors. Leading investment banks and blue-chip institutions have recognized the Division’s industry-leading knowledge and expertise, rewarding Robert Walters Japan’s Contract Division with an unmatched number of exclusive recruitment contracts.
Prior to his career at Robert Walters, Naeem worked for three years as the head of sales at a Japanese venture capital firm specialising in e-commerce. This experience allowed Naeem to develop key industry relationships and gain significant insights and a deep knowledge of Japan’s business markets.
Naeem Iqbal was born in Lancashire in the UK and has lived and worked in Japan for more than thirteen years. He is an active investor in both residential and commercial real estate in Tokyo.
