Chinese Hacker Attacks and Why They Shouldn't Deter Your China Expansion
Reports came out on Monday, December 26th that hackers had posted private details from 90 million user profiles from Chinese online forums and social networking sites on public download sites after cracking the servers of several major enterprises, including Tianya.cn, one of China’s biggest online forums, as well as gaming sites 7k7k.com and duowan.com, and leading social network Renren. With this massive attack coming just days after an attack by Chinese hackers on the US Chamber of Commerce’s website, which resulted in the theft of six weeks worth of e-mail from four CoC policy analysts in what was, by all appearances, a targeted snatch and grab mission.
